A large capacity for long sanding sessions
The Mirka DEXOS 1230 M AFC is a professional dust extractor of M class, equipped with a 30-liter tank, particularly suitable for professionals who regularly perform significant sanding work.
Its large capacity allows for longer work before needing to intervene on the tank, which directly differentiates it from the more compact 17-liter DEXOS 1217. Paired with a Mirka DEROS, DEOS, or LEROS, it forms the core of a sanding system with source extraction.
This version comes with a 4-meter suction hose, allowing for direct connection to a compatible sander while maintaining good freedom of movement around the work area.
M class for managing fine sanding dust
The DEXOS 1230 is certified M class, with a retention rate claimed by Mirka of 99.9% of dust corresponding to this class.
For painters, finishers, decorative applicators, or professionals who regularly sand large surfaces, this classification provides an appropriate response for environments where large amounts of fine dust can be generated.
Paired with a perforated pad, a Net or Abranet abrasive, and a suitable sander, the DEXOS directly sucks up dust at the sanding level.
This extraction improves visibility on the substrate, limits dust accumulation around the abrasive, and helps maintain a cleaner working environment.
AFC: maintain suction during prolonged work
During intensive sanding, dust gradually accumulates in the filter and can reduce suction flow.
The system AFC – Automatic Filter Cleaning automatically cleans the filter during use to help maintain the performance of the DEXOS.
The device also monitors air flow and alerts the user when it becomes insufficient, for example, in case of blockage or significant loss of circulation in the system.
For long sanding sessions, this automatic management limits the necessary interruptions to keep the extraction system operational.
Two outlets and automatic start with the sander
The DEXOS 1230 has two integrated electrical outlets allowing direct power supply to compatible power tools.
Thanks to the autostart, the extractor can start automatically when the connected sander is turned on.
This integration is particularly convenient with a DEROS II for surface preparation and finishing or with a LEROS Ø225 mm when sanding walls and ceilings.
The user thus has a setup where the machine and the extraction work together without having to separately control the extractor at each startup.
30 liters or 17 liters: choose according to the way of working
The main difference between the DEXOS 1230 and 1217 is their capacity.
With its tank of 30 liters, the DEXOS 1230 prioritizes autonomy. It is particularly interesting when sanding a lot, working on large surfaces, or wanting to reduce the frequency of emptying.
The DEXOS 1217, with its 17 liters, prioritizes more compactness and mobility.
The choice therefore mainly depends on the volume of work: 1230 for more autonomy, 1217 for a more compact set.
4-meter hose included
This reference includes a 4 m suction hose.
It is not the version equipped with a sleeve combining the hose and the electrical cable of the sander. This configuration exists separately at Mirka.
The power cable of the DEXOS measures 7.5 m, providing a good range of movement between the power outlet, the vacuum cleaner, and the work area.
The DEXOS can also vacuum dry or wet, following the filter and bag configurations specified by Mirka.
